Special Guests (SPG) is Magic’s way of rolling out the red carpet. These cards feel less like part of the main cast and more like legendary cameos, instantly recognizable and loaded with nostalgia. What makes Special Guests stand out is its presentation and intent: familiar favorites given fresh framing, updated art, or premium treatments, all designed to feel special the moment you see them. SPG isn’t about worldbuilding or mechanics, it’s about moments. Note: If a set has foils, you may need to double the number of binder slots for that set depending on how you stack cards in your binder. For example, foils slotted on top of non-foil cards will use less space versus non-foils inline with foils. Set Binder can help track either way, but the total number of cards in a set will always be the same.
